What Many Schools Do Today:
While many schools have their own website, new student registration often does not go beyond instructing the parent to contact the school office. More progressive schools post forms on their website which the parent may print, complete and mail to the school. Administrative staff is required to re-key the data into the school’s information system. With no automated verification of the data, the parent is expected to re-submit the same manual information and the administrator is expected to re-key changes to the data, year over year.
